Leonardo’s First Night – Great Fun!

On Wednesday night 14 children,  aged from 3 to 14, and 12 parents came along and had a ball at Leonardo’s Den.

We were so excited to see how engrossed everyone became in trying out new ideas and materials.

It was hard to know which things were the most exciting.

Was it the motors  – which were definitely a big hit? 4 year old Nye, and his dad Steve, inspired many of us with this fabulous helicopter guy, complete with spinning blades!

Was it the crocodile clip leads which were used for much more than just electrical connections?

Was it the pvc pipes and joints which the older kids made various shooters with?

Maybe it was the huge squishy rosettes that Ella used for a robot; Lily used to make a toy that can be turned over and used as a cushion and Lucy used as a magnificent centrepiece for her picture!

Maybe it was the glue gun  (modelled by Lily and Elizabeth) or the cardboard yarn cones which evolved into a variety of people!

Maybe it was just the sheer volume of amazing stuff to experiment with and the wonderful people who came along. It was obvious how much fun people had by just how much there was to clear up at the end!

We are really looking forward to seeing what amazing creations evolve next week.

Why not come along and join in?
